Kirk is an award-winning film director whose relationship with Tomboy stretches back to the company’s inception in 1991.
He made his name directing commercials, winning a Silver Lion at Cannes for Heinz and further awards for Mercedes and Absolut Vodka, and went on to make a host of award-winning films, including Waking Ned, Nanny McPhee, Everybody’s Fine, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and the BAFTA-winning I Swear. His commercials work includes campaigns for Coca-Cola, HSBC, Reebok, Domino’s and Vodafone, made with agencies including BBH, Saatchi & Saatchi and AMV BBDO. Kirk is currently developing a live-action adaptation of Mr Benn, due to begin filming in 2027.
