John is a celebrated film and television director who has made ads with Tomboy for many years.
He established his reputation in television, with Prime Suspect and Inspector Morse, and went on make a host of award-winning films, including Mrs Brown, Shakespeare in Love, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, The Best- and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Operation Mincemeat. His recent commercials include the Money Supermarket ads with Judi Dench and a series of films for Burberry: three shorts starring Olivia Coleman and Burberry’s 2025 festive ad with Jennifer Saunders. John is currently in post-production for a BBC feature.
